Recent News
During the month of March 2010, I was invited to go to sit and observe at the local government office where our fellow neighbors have to ask for help. I arrived early one morning, promptly at 9:00 a.m., sat down, and a steady stream of people followed behind me, each taking a number. They went to this telephone and called an extension number and left a message for their social worker. Some went to the counter and talked with the service representative there. For the four hours I was there, I would have to say that EVERY person there had the same story -- they say that they come in, leave a message, or that they cannot leave a message because the mail box is full, and they NEVER get a call back, they sit there for hours on end, they never get help in the same day, they have to come back multiple visits, they get the run-around.
This is sad folks. Come on. What we try to do is immediate help. We need you to help us continue this effort.
Before leaving this office, I have supplies and food in my van that I distributed to people. They were happy. I told them of our efforts and how we are trying to get more donations to continue. They said they would pray for us.

I find it amazing how many people do not think twice to donate money to help those in Haiti or in Chile, but when your own fellow American needs help, you turn away. Please do not turn away from your own neighbor. Help us, help them! Help strengthen your community! Don't forget that your donation can help you too by reducing your taxable income and lowering your tax bill.

Low-income and families with no assets are hit hardest during a recession because they lack the resources make it through these tough times. We help these families to give them a safety net to help ensure them access to food and other critical needs – all done with dignity. Like most people, the government will not help them because they are just above the poverty level and they do not qualify for any government-sponsored programs. Therefore, they suffer, they starve, or they lose their home.
Just recently, funds were disbursed to help a single father provide food and help with his mortgage and heat bill; a senior citizen with her monthly prescriptions; a family of five (three young children) with their mortgage and school supplies that were stolen from school.
Our funds are extremely low and we desperately need your help! Please donate now! You will be provided with a receipt!
